St. Patty's Day Goodies!

I absolutley love St. Patty's Day. My birthday is the day before and I am a wee bit Irish so it always was a big thing for me! I also love cooking and baking, so I whipped up some yummy treats for the kiddies and me!
Breakfast is my kids' favorite meal of the day. They would seriously eat breakfast foods for all 3 meals if we allowed it. So I cooked up some green pancakes for the kids and topped with whipped cream and some green sugar! Josh loved it, Logan and Emma opted for no toppings. (weird children)

These Pot of Gold cupcakes came out really cute. I just made plain yellow cupcakes, topped it with butter cream icing and then I took Entenmanns popem donuts and dipped them in melted chocolate . The gold is mini  M&M's.  I really should of used black melting chocolate for the pots , but they still came out really cute and the kids loved them!!

I really love Irish Soda Bread, so I decided to make some to go along with our Corned beef and cabbage! It actually came out pretty good considering I had to stop half way through cause Emma smacked her head on her toy bin. Thankfully we did not have to go to the Er and I remembered where I was at with the recipe. The hubby loves it!! He told me I am the worst person to have around when he is trying to diet! Well thankfully St. Patty's Day is only once a year!!

Hope everyone had a great Day!  And remember....If you are Lucky enough to be Irish, than you are Lucky enough!!

some things I finally got around to!

I have been meaning to make something with all our handprints for awhile now. I got this cute idea from a Father's day card I saw on a pre-school craft website. It used the handprints of the kids and had a  fathers day poem. I figured it would be neat to use all of our handprints and frame it with a nice quote. I think it came out cute and I hung it in our hall way so you see it when you walk through our front door!

This bow holder I made for my best friends daughter Alexa. She is two weeks older than Emma and the sweetest thing. Well for her first birthday I wanted to make something special and homemade! I pretty much just winged it and there are definitley a few flaws but it came out really cute. I don't have a die cutting machine so I just used stencils and paint and tried my best! I just got the supplies to make Emma hers hopefully I will be posting that one soon!!

Do you like Green Eggs and Ham?

So last week was Literacy week at the boys school as well as Dr. Suess's Birthday. I am a big fan of Dr. Suess and I love the book Green Eggs and Ham. It was actually the first book Josh read all the way through last year in Kindergarten. I though it would be fun to make Green eggs and Ham on Dr. Suess's birthday for breakfast. I really didn't think my super picky eater Josh would even taste it, but all three of them ate it up and asked for seconds! They wanted scrambled eggs so of course thats what they got!
